« on: 09 September 2014, 08:01:35 »
The instructions for users receptor Avatar2 + Gi, Gi Avatar2 system with Spark
PROBLEM. The front display shows "00.00" when booting.
  • receiver has software version 01.02.60 to 01.02.64
  • Connected to Internet
  • Once the user has downloaded the weather forecast for a new city

Solution 1.
If the receiver is connected to a cable network and its IP address is known, you will have access via a FTP client to the receiver.
Enter the folder "root / spark / AppUserDb /" and eliminate "weather.xml" file.
Reset the receiver and update the software version to the new version 1.2.65. download here.

If you do not know the IP address, please follow the instructions below and use the DCC application:
  • Unzip the file and start the application DCC_E2.
  • Click the "Search" button (1) and then "Search" (2) in the next window to scan the network.
  • After the scan is finished, click the IP address of your receiver (STLinux) and click "OK" (3).
  • The "Login" field must be the same as shown in the window (4) as the default setting of your receiver.
  • Click the "Reconnect" button (5) to access the receiver.
  • If the connection is fine pressed the FTP tab (6).
  • The FTP on the right side should show the folders on your receiver.
  • Navigate to the folder / root / spark / AppUserDb / (7) and eliminates the right "weather.xml" ( 8 ).
  • Reset the receiver with rear switch.

Solution 2.
To resolve this issue for keeping all the settings, the channel list and plug-ins folder, you can download a special rescue image.
For this
  • Unplug receiver Internet (remove the power cord or USB WiFi adapter).
  • Make sure your USB flash drive is formatted in FAT32 and has a single partition.
  • If the root folder of the flash drive folder has no "spark", create it.
  • Download here  and unzip the file special firmware folder created in the unit. As a result, you will have 1 file "mImage" within the "spark" folder.
  • Turn off the main switch of the receiver. Insert the flash drive with special firmware.
  • Keep pressing the "OK" button on the front panel and turn on receiver.
  • After about 5 seconds, the display will show [Forc]. Release the "OK" button. Then press the "VOL button. Law "on the [OK] appears. If everything is in order, then the display [U LD] starts blinking and then upload the file.
  • If the update is successful, the receiver blinks [T T0]. Turn the receiver off the main switch and turn it on. If spending more than 5 minutes, the process is not completed, then something went wrong.
  • After the recovery process is essential to update the software version to the new 1.2.65. You can download here.
